Commercial truck ban lifted from N.J. highways


A commercial travel ban in effect on several major New Jersey highways Sunday expired at 5 p.m. Sunday after snow fell for hours on Sunday.

The ban had begun at 6 a.m. Sunday on routes 78, 80, 280, 287 and 440 in New Jersey.

The ban had no applied to the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, Atlantic City Expressway or Interstates 76, 195, 295, and 676.

The New Jersey State Police responded to over 200 crashes Sunday.
