Enterprise upgrades corporate booking platform

Ground transport firm Enterprise has upgraded its Enterprise Travel Direct (ETD) booking and management platform to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

The vehicle rental and car club brand has made several changes to the online platform, including offering text alternatives for non-text content, new functionality for non-keyboard devices and improved site navigation.

ETD has also been made “fully mobile-responsive” by allowing clients to locate and book nearby rental and car club vehicles on their mobile devices.

The platform is designed to ensure online compliance and manage demand for corporate ground travel by consolidating daily rental, car club, pool car and grey fleet use. An organisation’s travel policy is also embedded into its booking functionality.

ETD is already being used in the UK and Germany, as well as currently being rolled out to clients in France and Spain.

Enterprise said the number of rental transactions through ETC had risen by more than 200 per cent in the past two years.

Ryan Bushell, head of public sector at Enterprise, said: “We’re seeing a real change in how employees are booking their business travel and policy compliance is more important than ever.

“These new upgrades are helping customers who want the platform to be more functional and accessible. It’s now on mobiles so people can swiftly book on the go and employees with disabilities can use it as easily as anyone else.”
