The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) on Wednesday announced that Bruce Poon Tip, the co-founder of G Adventures and the Planterra Foundation, will headline its upcoming virtual Travel Industry Leadership Summit next month.
Poon Tip will headline the conference, which is set to take place on Nov. 12 and 13, sharing his experience and knowledge about how the industry can move forward out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While he is best known as the founder of G Adventures, Poon Tip also founded Planterra, an NGO that promotes the development of local communities and of environmental conservation. He is also a multiple time TED talk speaker, along with an author.
Exploring the transformation of travel through resilience and reinvention is the theme of the ACTA virtual travel industry summit being held Nov. 12 and 13. The two-day event will also include critical updates from government and industry leaders including opportunities to connect with fellow travel advisors. There will also be a virtual trade show, prizes and more.
Earlier, ACTA announced that Cityline TV Travel Expert and Travel Entrepreneur Lorraine Simpson will be the emcee the event.
