MILLSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police say Georgetown man is in critical condition following a Wednesday night crash in Millsboro.
According to police, at around 9:15 p.m., a Kia Sportage was traveling northbound on DuPont Boulevard, south of East Piney Grove Road, when it failed to remain within the travel lanes. The right tires subsequently exited the east edge of the roadway, causing the vehicle to leave the northbound travel lane and enter into the center grass median. Once the vehicle was in the grass median, it began to rotate counter-clockwise and entered the southbound lanes of travel. The vehicle continued traveling counter-clockwise and flipped multiple times across the southbound lanes of travel before exiting the west edge of the roadway and coming to a rest on its side.
The 26-year-old driver from Georgetown was taken to a nearby hospital by helicopter in critical condition.
