W: I have my PDF version saved on my mobile phone. Protect your privacy: I will not share paper cards without a real good reason. I show it to my phone. Nowadays, most are done through the honor system.

Q: Q: What are the airline rules?

W: Many (airlines) need to test negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours, depending on their destination. Hawaii requires pre-arrival testing and testing when traveling between islands. This makes hope for the island a little more difficult. They do not need testing to return to the mainland. However, many foreign countries require a COVID-19 test before returning to the United States. For example, some resorts in Mexico manage them for free or for a small fee. If you are traveling abroad, please check with the US Embassy in your country before you leave.

Q: Q: Talk about contactless check-in at hotels, motels, Airbnbs and other vacation accommodations.

W: First of all, smartphones are indispensable. There are still people at the front desk, but service is limited. We did a non-contact check-in. You have an app from a hotel that allows them to send you a digital key on your phone. Also, when the room is ready, send a push notification by email or text message. There is no physical key.

Q: Q: How has the hotel service changed?

W: Maid service is limited. We recently stayed at a 5 star hotel, and they left a basket outside the room with fresh towels and stuff. There is no daily maid service. Food service at the restaurant is limited. There are more “grab and go” options. Room Service: They put it out of the room. The restaurant goes to the electronic menu, so you need to scan the QR code, which is usually done via Grubhub, DoorDash, etc.
