NC State will travel to play Saint Louis on Thursday night

For short notice, NC State sure did manage to find a heck of a game. The Wolfpack and Saint Louis have agreed to a home-and-home basketball series that will begin on Thursday night at SLU’s place. Tip time is set for 8 p.m. ET.

SLU is coming off a 23-8 season that saw it finish at No. 62 in the Pomeroy Ratings. The Billikens are 4-0 this year, including a four-point win over a solid LSU team. The Billikens are No. 37 in the Pomeroy Ratings as of this writing … which is one spot behind NC State. Good matchup!

Both teams have shot the ball exceptionally well in the early going, and in fact both teams have posted a 61.4 effective field goal percentage, which ranks in the top five nationally. The Billikens play a deep bench, and they have lots of experience, too. Credit to Kevin Keatts for his willingness to play this game under not-ideal circumstances.

There’s no television designation yet, and ESPN is already booked at that time, but it looks like ESPNU/ESPN2 are wide open. (Ditto the ACC Network, for that matter.) Figure at the least this game will land on an RSN.
